WE MOVE NEURONS
One second can change a life.
"In our case, it was an accident.
My 19-year-old son has been paraplegic since a car accident in his early childhood.
For over 18 years, we have been looking for effective therapies. Thus began an exciting journey that has lead me all over the world.
I have gotten to know various forms of therapy and have come to the following insights: It´s time to change the rehabilitation!"
(Thomas Saur / Founder)
Indications
The therapy was developed for use on patients for the following indications, among others:
-
Stroke of ischaemic or haemorrhagic origin with residual hemiplegia/paresis
-
(Infantile) cerebral palsy
-
Spinal cord injuries (commotio, contusio, compressio spinalis)
-
Craniocerebral trauma
-
Musculoskeletal diseases
-
Neuropathy (Guillain-Barré syndrome, PNP)
-
Neurodegenerative diseases (e.g. multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, ALS)
-
Ataxia of the upper limbs and trunk
Areas of Application
- Motor deficits of the upper extremities
-
Sensory deficits Proprioception disorders
-
Neglect
-
Apraxias
-
Attention disorders
-
Impaired memory, e.g. visual, auditory and language memory
-
Acute pain
- Neuro-surgical interventions
- Orthopedic surgery
- Ortho-surgical interventions such as TEP glenohumeral and art. cubiti, as well as amputations
-
Upper extremities including shoulder girdle, upper arm, forearm and hand
-
Trunk, body straightening and postural control
-
Head movements and gaze control
- Post-traumatic conditions
- Depressions
- Hospitalism
- Stress regulation
- Anxiety, pain and depression
Therapy Goals
High frequency therapy with multimodal feedback has a positive effect on the neural system and helps to rebuild and improve sensory, motor and cognitive abilities such as spatial orientation and body perception. This can also lead to pain reduction. Improved motivation and quickly visible, gradual training successes, as well as active relaxation tools, reinforce the success of the therapy.
Improved cognitive skills
-
Spatial perception e.g. arrangement of objects
-
Perception of shape and colour
-
Attention and perception
-
Memory and learning
-
Planning and executive functions
-
Memory (e.g. working and word-finding memory) and orientation
-
Motivation and concentration
Improved motor function of the upper extremities and trunk
-
Range of motion (RoM), quantity and quality of movement
-
Coordination
-
Proprioception
-
Postural control in sitting and fall-protected standing
-
Reach of the upper extremities
-
Mobilisation of the patient, self-initiated movements and muscle development
-
Hand and finger functions (basic grasping functions and hand opening)
-
Finger movement
-
Fine motor skills of the hand e.g. tweezer grip, power grip
General improvements
-
Body awareness and self-regulation
-
Stress reduction
-
Pain reduction
-
Mood enhancement
-
Anxiety regulation
-
Tone regulation
-
Therapy motivation (compliance and adherence)
-
Reduction of depression
-
Neuroregulation
Demographic Data
-
