Cooperation with Fraunhofer Institute IMS

Updated: May 9, 2022

Standstill? We don't know what that means! As an agile company, we are always on the lookout for new ways to develop and continuously improve patient care. We are therefore pleased to announce that we now have a strong partner at our side in the Fraunhofer Institute IMS, which deals with microelectronic circuits and systems.

Together we would now like to work out how sensors and sensor-based data can be integrated into therapy products from CUREosity. In this way, biofeedback can make VR therapy more efficient and smart assessments based on VR and sensors can be developed.

IMS-Virtual Reality

The IMS conducts application-oriented research and development for future-relevant applications, markets and products. Through the four business units: "Health", "Industry", "Mobility" and "Space & Security", results and findings from research are channeled and transported directly to the user. As head of the "Health" business unit, Prof. Dr. Karsten Seidl is primarily dedicated to the goal of establishing intelligent sensors that record health-related information without contact, as wearables or at the molecular level. This enables better diagnoses to be made, preventive measures to be proposed and targeted therapies to be initiated.

The joint collaboration will now explore the extent to which the interaction of virtual reality and smart sensors can be used to provide continuous health monitoring.

We are looking forward to the collaboration and are excited about the results!
