Eminent visit at CUREosity

Updated: Jul 16, 2021

Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, Minister for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and Prof. Dr. Andreas Meyer-Falcke, CIO of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, were guests at CUREosity on July 8.

Minister of Economics and Innovation Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart: "CUREosity is an impressive example of innovative medical technology from North Rhine-Westphalia. Virtual reality applications offer opportunities to enormously improve rehabilitation for complex neurological diseases."

Prof. Dr. Pinkwart and Prof. Dr. Meyer-Falcke already knew CUREosity from various events in the past - for example, from our booth at Medica 2019 or from the plenary session at d-health.start as part of Start-up Week 2021.

Now we wanted to take the opportunity to invite the gentlemen to CUREosity to introduce our company to them in more detail. On the agenda was a common exchange, the presentation of our office and of CUREO.

We showed our visitors which components CUREO consists of and how to use the software. Prof. Dr. Meyer-Falcke then put on the VR goggles himself and ran some games of our therapy software. We were also able to demonstrate our finger tracking, which appeared with the CUREO 1.1 update. Our guests were enthusiastic about the possibilities that CUREO offers.

Afterwards we guided the gentlemen through our office premises, so that they got an insight into the work of our employees, especially from the areas of game and software design.

Prof. Dr. Pinkwart and Prof. Dr. Meyer-Falcke exchanged ideas with CEO Thomas Saur about how CUREosity is changing the healthcare industry sustainably with our smart therapy solutions and what potentials arise from the use of VR in the context of rehabilitation as well as in the healthcare industry.

We would like to thank Prof. Dr. Pinkwart and Prof. Dr. Meyer-Falcke for their visit and hope to see them again soon!
